PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES FOR DIRECT SHORT SERVICECOMMISSION 29/2026 The Nigerian Army wishes to inform the general public that the successful candidates for Direct Short Service Commission 29/2026 Selection Board are to report for officer cadet training at the Officer Cadet Training Wing in Nigerian Army School of Infantry (NASI) JAJI, Kaduna State on Friday, 27 March 2026. The list of successful candidates is available online at https://recruitment.army.mil.ng GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS 1. Candidates are to report to NASI Jaji with the following: a. Writing materials. b. Original credentials including online printout showing his/her passportphotograph(s). c. 3 pairs of plain white short sleeve (unmarked) round neck vests and royal-blue shorts (without stripes). d. Two pairs of pure white canvas/trainers (rubber type NOT acceptable). e. Two pairs each of maroon-red (unmarked) round neck vests and navy-blue track suits (without stripes). f. Two white and a blue long sleeve shirts, a black tie and a black belt. g. Four pairs of white and 2 pairs of black socks. h. 2 pairs of black and white trousers. i. ⁠One lounge suit (Dark Colour). j. Two pairs of national dress or suit and casual wears. k. ⁠One rubber strapped wristwatch. l. One pair of black cover shoe. m. Swimming trunk. n. Two white bed sheets and pillow cases. o. One blanket (grey or army green colour). p. Football boots. q. Pressing iron. 2. Female candidates should come along with the following items in addition: a. One pair of black low heel cover shoe. b. ⁠Four lounge skirts (dark Colour) c. Four pairs of black or blue shorts (tight) d. Two pairs of trouser suits. 3. Serving military personnel are to come along with release letters and passes from their commanders/commanding officers. 4. Successful candidates who fail to report on the aforementioned date will forfeit their vacancies to candidates on reserve. 5. Reserve candidates are not to report to NASI. However, they will be contacted in the event vacancies arise. 6. There will be no vacancy for Reserve candidates after 20 April 2026.
