I joined ndi Igbo in Lagos State, on behalf of the South Eastern Governors, as we received the report of the Joint Committee set up by the Lagos State Government to address the concerns surrounding the demolition of structures identified as illegal. I recalled that when this matter first arose, we, the South Eastern Leaders, promptly waded in and engaged with the Lagos State Governor, His Excellency Babajide Sanwo-Olu @jidesanwoolu . In response, he graciously agreed to set up a Joint Committee - chaired by himself - to thoroughly review the discrepancies, claims, and counterclaims brought forward. The report, as received, reflects the collective input of all stakeholders, including representatives of ndi Igbo, and provides a clear path toward resolution. As Governors of the South East, we will continue to do our best to see this matter through in accordance with the recommendations endorsed by all. While interacting with our people, I reminded them that Nigeria belongs to us all. We must support the Government in power to realize the level of development we seek. I also encouraged them to look back home and contribute meaningfully to the growth of our region. - Hope Uzodimma
