Today in Ogun State, we harvested the rice we planted in May 2024. By August 2024, we realised 7 MT/hct from a pilot of 200 hectares, using outgrowers who were each given 1 hectare. The total harvest amounted to approximately 1,400 MT, which translates to about 20,000 bags of milled rice, valued at One billion Naira in revenue every three months. These farmers, mostly youth and women who had never farmed before, are now part of a transformative project.
