Nigerian Troops Repel ISWAP Attack on Goniri Base, Kill Over 20 Insurgents
On March 9-10, 2026, troops from Operation Hadin Kai in Yobe State's Goniri detected the nighttime assault early, using surveillance, firepower, maneuvers, reinforcements, and air support to repel the encirclement attempt.
