Unlike liquid-fueled missiles which require preparation time before launch, solid-fuel systems can be fired with far less notice - making them significantly harder to target on the ground before they leave the launcher. That last part is the critical detail. The entire logic of preemptive air defense - hitting launchers before they fire - breaks down against solid-fuel systems. You lose the warning window. Al Jazeera noted that the Sejjil's solid-fuel design allows faster launch readiness - a decisive advantage when Iran expects incoming strikes and needs survivable, responsive options. In other words, even under sustained US-Israeli bombardment, these missiles can still be prepared and fired quickly from mobile launchers before they're located and destroyed. This was wave 54 of Operation True Promise 4. The same wave also included super-heavy Khorramshahr missiles with two-ton warheads, Kheibar Shekan, Qadr and Emad missiles. The Sejjil didn't replace the other systems - it was added on top of them. Sirens activated across Tel Aviv, Herzliya and at least 141 other locations. A missile struck near a US consular residence in Tel Aviv, injuring three people. Day 16. Wave 54. And Iran just introduced a weapons system it had been holding back. That is not a country running out of options. That is a country managing its escalation ladder deliberately - and still has more rungs left.
